Isaac's storm

i've heard from several people that those who are suffering in new orleans deserved the destruction of hurricane katrina. they see it as a cleansing of that decadent city, finally purging it from the evils of this world by a wrathful god who finally got fed up with the unruly ways of the city's inhabitants.

i find this way of thinking troubling. how can someone make sure an assertion about an entire population of a city? fucking religious mentality is screwed up. these people sit atop their golden towers and point their crooked little fingers, act piously and seem to think they have the inside track to the thoughts of the higher being. how privileged they must feel.

most recently a coworker told me of someone she spoke with that told her how this destruction was deserved. well, this person should be ashamed of themselves for saying, especially because this person represents a "religious" group in the city.

that seems to be the case with these religious folks who make these assertions, that they have the right to speak and point out others' sins. they are doing the very thing that shouldn't be done by the religious -- judging. these disgusting turbs ought to be taken to the devastated areas and forced to see first-hand the atrocities that katrina caused. i wonder if they'd have the same attitude if they saw a dead child floating in the waters or an elderly individual lying stiff and dead on a city street or take in the stench of decay.

these fools who decide they are gods' diciples ought to take a good look inside their own dirty souls.makes you wonder what filth lies deep inside of them, what dirty thoughts rage in their minds and what drives their intentions.

and it's all in the name of god.

well, if these fools are making these accusations and pointing fingers against what they think is a deserved destruction of an old city, what would they think should happen to sin city? a complete annihilation of it and its people? foolish fuckers.
